- 3 (1-inch) strips of lemon peel
- 1/2 cup lemon juice for syrup
- 2/3 cup lemon syrup
Instructions
- Prepare the lemon curd by cooking lemon juice, sugar, eggs, and salt in a non-reactive saucepan until thickened. Strain, then stir in butter and refrigerate.
- Make lemon syrup by boiling sugar, lemon peel strips, and lemon juice together until dissolved; set aside to cool.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. In another bowl, combine mascarpone with lemon zest, fold in whipped cream gradually.
