Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 chicken quarters
  • ½ apple
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 inches of ginger
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 stalks of green onion
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sweetener (sugar)
  • 1 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, chopped green onion, sesame oil, rice vinegar, diced apple, sweetener, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken quarters to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Allow them to marinate for at least 15 minutes or up to overnight in the fridge for enhanced flavor.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Arrange the marinated chicken legs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
  5. Once cooked through and crispy on the outside, remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
