- 3 green onions (chopped)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tbsp ginger (minced)
- 4 cups chicken/beef/vegetable broth
- 12 oz frozen wontons (chicken or vegetable)
- ½ cup neutral oil (such as avocado or canola)
- ¼ cup red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1-2 dashes fish sauce
- 1 dash rice apple vinegar (optional)
Instructions
- Start by preparing the homemade chili oil: In a heat-safe bowl, mix red pepper flakes, sesame seeds, minced garlic, ginger, sugar, and salt. Heat the neutral oil until hot and carefully pour it over the mixture. Set aside to infuse.
- In a large pot, melt coconut oil over medium heat. Sauté the white and light green parts of the chopped green onions along with minced garlic and ginger for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
