  • 2 tablespoons caramel syrup
  • 1/2 cup melted butter (cooled)
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • Topping: sea salt and caramel sauce


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a loaf pan generously.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mash the bananas and mix in both sugars, vanilla extract, caramel syrup, melted butter, buttermilk, and beaten eggs until well blended.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients using a hand mixer until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle with caramel sauce and swirl gently with a knife. Add the remaining batter on top.
  6. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before sprinkling with sea salt and drizzling more caramel sauce on top.
