  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika

  • 2 tbsps Fresh Rosemary, chopped
  • 1 Red Onion, sliced
  • 1-2 Honeycrisp Apples, sliced
  • 4 tbsps Salted Butter
  • 3/4 cup Apple Cider
  • 1/2 cup Chicken Broth or White Apple Vinegar
  • 2 tbsps Dijon Mustard
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • Olive oil, Salt, Pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Season chicken thighs with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, fresh thyme, and chopped rosemary.
  3. In a cast iron skillet over medium heat, sear chicken thighs in olive oil until golden brown on both sides (5-7 minutes each side).
  4. Arrange sliced red onions and honeycrisp apples around the chicken in the skillet.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. For the sauce, combine salted butter, apple cider, chicken broth (or vinegar), Dijon mustard, and minced garlic over medium heat in the same skillet until thickened (about 5 minutes).
  7. Return chicken and apples to the skillet and spoon sauce over before serving warm.
