Ingredients

- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tbsp milk or plant-based cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a bundt or tube pan.
- Cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and vinegar.
- In another bowl, sift together cake flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a small bowl, mix buttermilk with red food coloring until combined.
- Alternately add the dry ingredients and the red buttermilk mixture to the batter until just incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 75-85 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- In another mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar while mixing. Then mix in milk one tablespoon at a time until you achieve a pourable consistency. Finally, stir in vanilla extract.
