  • 2 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice for glaze
  • 1 tsp lemon zest for glaze


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Fold in flour and salt until just mixed; avoid overmixing.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 22–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let the brownies cool completely before glazing.
  7. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with lemon juice and zest until smooth, then spread over cooled brownies.
