  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the vanilla cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth. Pour half into the prepared pan.
  3. In another bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth; spread over the batter in the pan.
  4. Carefully spoon the remaining batter over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Whisk cocoa powder and milk in a separate bowl; drizzle over the top layer of batter.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top before baking for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
