Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 pound beef sausages
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by peeling and slicing the potatoes into thin rounds. Slice the onions and mince the garlic.
  2. In a Dutch oven over medium heat, brown the beef sausages on all sides. Remove them from the pot and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, add chopped turkey bacon and cook until crispy. Add the sliced onions and minced garlic, sautéing until soft.
  4. Layer the potato slices over the onion mixture, then return the sausages to the pot. Pour in chicken broth and water to mostly submerge the ingredients.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and let simmer for about 45 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary before serving hot with crusty bread.
