  • 80-90 g cranberries
  • 80-90 g raisins
  • 60-70 g currants
  • 80-90 g dry whole cherries (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla sugar or pure vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Add flour, salt, sugar, butter, and spices; mix until a dough forms.
  3. Fold in dried fruits until evenly distributed.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm area for about an hour.
  6. Punch down the dough and shape into a loaf; place in a greased loaf pan to rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for approximately 40 minutes until golden brown.
