Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (225 grams)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup raspberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for raspberry swirl)
  • A small amount of water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the raspberry swirl by combining raspberries, sugar, and a small amount of water in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until thickened, then cool slightly.
  2. In another saucepan, melt butter over low heat and add chocolate chips until smooth.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until fluffy. Stir in melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into an 8×8 inch baking pan. Drizzle with half of the raspberry sauce and repeat layers, swirling gently with a knife.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Cool before slicing.
