Ingredients
- 3 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small sweet onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 cup unsalted beef stock or broth
- 1 ounce au jus gravy mix (1 packet)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Season the steak pieces with kosher salt and black pepper in a large bowl.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Sear half of the seasoned steak until browned on all sides (about 3–4 minutes). Repeat for remaining steak.
- Transfer seared steak to a slow cooker. Add sliced onion and garlic; toss to combine.
