- 1 & 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 & 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 (12 oz) bag fresh cranberries
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Gradually add flour until just combined; avoid over-mixing.
- Press about two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Rinse cranberries and pat dry, then spread them over the dough base.
- Mix chopped walnuts into the remaining dough and drop chunks evenly over the cranberries.
- Chill assembled pan in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes before baking.
