- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 large yellow onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips and mince the garlic.
- Marinate the beef in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and cornstarch for about 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or skillet over high heat; add onions and cook until caramelized (5–7 minutes). Remove from pan.
- Add sesame oil to the same pan and stir-fry the marinated beef for 3–4 minutes until browned but not fully cooked.
- Return caramelized onions to the pan along with minced garlic; stir to combine and heat through for another minute.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
