- 400g sliced cremini mushrooms
- 2 tbsp salted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 125ml mayonnaise
- 60ml crème fraîche
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 125ml grated parmesan cheese
- 125ml grated havarti cheese
- 125ml grated gruyère cheese
- 125ml grated mozzarella cheese
- 4 slices sourdough bread
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and olive oil. Add cremini mushrooms, salt, and pepper; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce and cook for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown. Remove from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, crème fraîche, and melted butter. Mix in garlic and cheeses until well combined.
- Toast sourdough slices under the broiler until lightly golden on both sides.
- Fold sautéed mushrooms into the cheese mixture and spread it evenly over each toast slice.
- Broil again until the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned (about 3-5 minutes).
