- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 12 oz chow mein noodles
- 2 cups cabbage
- 1 large carrot (julienned)
- 1/2 batch green onions
- 2 garlic cloves
- 4 Tbsp oyster sauce (or alternative)
- 3 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp light sesame oil
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp corn starch
- 1 Tbsp granulated sugar
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions; drain and rinse with cold water.
- Heat oil in a large wok or pan over medium heat. Cut chicken into bite-sized strips and sauté until golden brown; remove from pan.
- In the same pan, sauté julienned carrots, cabbage, and garlic until vegetables soften.
- Return cooked chicken and drained noodles to the pan; pour in the prepared sauce and stir-fry for another 2 minutes until combined.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving hot.
