Ingredients
- 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Boil the tortellini: In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Prepare the sauce: While the pasta cooks, slice the mushrooms, chop the sage, and mince the garlic.
- Crisp the sage: In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with olive oil. Add chopped sage and cook for about 1 minute until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the mushrooms: In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic along with another tablespoon of butter. Sauté for about 5 minutes until browned.
