  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 8 slices crispy Turkey Bacon


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Form into 16-20 meatballs (1.5 inches each).
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown meatballs for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add BBQ sauce to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Toast sub rolls in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.
  7. Assemble subs by placing meatballs inside toasted rolls and topping with BBQ sauce, shredded cheese, and broken turkey bacon slices.
  8. Optionally return to the oven for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
  9. Serve immediately with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
